How Non Chexsystems Banks Work

Having trouble opening an account with the banks? You are probably on a chexsystems list that the bank refers to when signing  up new clients. The chexsystem is a list formulated by different banking systems in partnership with each other; they share  this list among themselves to check out a potential client. This system checks to see if their prospective client has  committed fraud or failed to make payments in the past or any such behavior so that they can decline that client for a good  reason and still be the good guy. This system checks out your banking history instead of your credit history.

Any bank  affiliated to this system will enter your name if you have any kind of financial problem and were unable to clear it. Once  your name gets into the system, it is very difficult to get it out. Not only will you be unable to open new accounts, loans  and other facilities too will be denied to you on account of this. This makes it difficult for people to operate their  accounts and finances. Bounced cheque, payment not done in time, received a cheque that bounced or even if the bank suspects  you for any reason, can put you on this list. Many people suffer from this problem, especially if the bank that entered your  name refuses to take it out even after you clear all the dues and fines and other charges. This is where non chexsystem banks  come in. There are small banks and local banks that do not subscribe to the chexsystem list.

Their screening system is not so  detailed and they will not deny you an account or other services they offer. There is a list of non chexsystem banks which  you will have to do some research for, most banks reply to your enquiries about how they go about their checking and this way  you can find out if they use the non chexsystems banks. You will find one through this manner. But keep in mind to check out this bank  properly too, look for what charges they do apply. Some banks that do not use chexsystem can charge extra. Also look out for  charges for things like monthly statement, use of atm card, telephone services, how many times you can withdraw in a month,  use of atm card at another bank. Check that they are physically present at the address given and that they offer direct  deposit.
